About Mumbai Cargo Service Center Cold Chain Solutions
The Export Cold Zone (ECZ) of Mumbai Cargo Service Center Cold Chain Solutions Private Limited, which is located at Mumbai Airport, provides an end-to-end temperature-controlled supply chain for air export cargo. It is designed to handle all categories of perishable and temperature-sensitive products.
With a capacity of 6000 square meters, it is India’s largest airport-based export facility. It has separate terminals for processing pharma and perishable cargo with 4000+ sqm exclusively dedicated to processing pharma cargo. This includes a storage area on the mezzanine floor for up to 80 plus airline pallet positions for pharma cargo which is equivalent to three 747 freighters.
ECZ can hold over 700 tons of cargo at one time. The facility is equipped with 10 ULD build-up workstations and as many as 172 ULD storage positions. The pharma terminal itself can hold 140 ULD positions, while the perishable terminal can hold 32 ULD positions. The cargo from Mumbai airport connects to over 500 destinations across 175 countries through 60 airlines.
ECZ is the first pharma terminal in the country and the third in Asia to obtain IATA CEIV-Pharma accreditation, a global industry recognition supporting the air transport industry and is in full compliance with pharmaceutical manufacturers requirements. Furthermore, it is also certified by GDP and ISO 9001:2015.
ECZ has also launched the TURANT-CSC app, which offers real time temperature tracking for pharmaceutical shipments that depart from Mumbai Airport to their final destinations, all accessible on a mobile phone app.
