Renate de Walle was asked by the Board of the Cool Chain Association to act as Treasurer stepping in for Mr. Malik Zeniti in 2016 and she was formally elected as Treasurer of the CCA at the AGM in June 2017.
Renate de Walle joined Air France-KLM-Martinair Cargoearly 2013. In her current position, she is P&L responsiblefor the Pharmaceutical Logistics Business Unit, managingglobal sales, product development and operations of high-end pharmaceutical and biotechnology products on AirFrance and KLM aircrafts. Customers include major andsmaller freight forwarders handling pharmaceutical cargoas well as all the major pharmaceutical companies andsmaller laboratories.
Before joining KLM Royal Dutch Airlines in 1998, she hasworked in various positions within the Health Care - andTravel Industry. Over the past 15 years she held a numberof managerial positions within the Passenger Division of theAIR FRANCE KLM Group at various departments fromPricing & Revenue Management to Business to BusinessSales & Marketing for Small Medium Enterprises (SME’s)as well as Multinational Enterprises (MNE’s). Her lastposition at the Passenger Division was Director Operationsat KLM Cygni!c Ltd., the largest Sales & Service Center ofthe AIR FRANCE KLM Group. In this position she wasresponsible for setting and executing the operationsstrategy and she successfully managed quality andproductivity programs through LEAN and Six Sigma.
She is involved in a number of initiatives to support thecargo communities of the hubs of the AIR FRANCE KLMGroup to ensure the provision of best practice and suitableresources for this premium traf!c, within the AmsterdamAirport Schiphol and Charles de Gaulle logisticscommunities.
She holds a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) at theAmsterdam University of Applied Sciences (NL) and aMaster of Business Administration (MBA with a major inMarketing) at Webster University (US). She lives in theNetherlands, is married and has one son.
