The Member

  • This position in CCA requires time and commitment.
  • Although the general running of CCA is done via the CCA Secretariat, all problem solving are relayed to the Board via email or phone and requires their approval before executed.
  • Each member must daily answer their emails stating their opinion on various matters, in order to ensure the smooth running of the CCA Secretariat.
  • CCA Board Members meet in person 3-5 times a year for various meetings. Location varies.

Members are required to further the aims of the Association, notably by:

  • Generate new Membership
  • Use of their respective position to create contact and awareness for CCA.
  • Represent CCA to the public, at any time when necessary.

A member position is on an honorary basis and gives no right to any remuneration, so a strong company support behind the mandate, is an advantage.

About Nathan De Valck...

Nathan De Valck has been working in the aviation industry since 2002. His cargo experience ranges from operational management, legal compliance, business development to commercial account management at several airports in Europe for cargo handling agents and airport operators.

Nathan has joined Brussels Airport Company in 2012 as Cargo & Product Development Manager. His responsibilities include account management and business development with the forwarders, shippers and other stakeholders at BRUcargo.

In his role of resident pharma and life science logistics expert, he is also in charge of the pharma and perishables projects at Brussels Airport. Nathan managed the CEIV pharma certi"cation program at BRUcargo making Brussels Airport the "rst cargo community in the world to be CEIV pharma certi"ed. He presides the BRUcargo Pharma Forum, which has developed an airside pharma transport solution, making Brussels Airport the "rst airport community with a fully integrated and guaranteed cool chain.

Nathan is a board member of the Cool Chain Association and member of the IATA Time and Temperature Taskforce. He studied in Belgium and France and graduated as Commercial Engineer in Logistics Business Management.
