    CCA proudly endorces "Cold Chain Distribution 2016", organized by SMI Group. This conference will take place in London, on the 12th and 13th of December. The event will host cold chain experts from the Pharma and Biotech regulators and suppliers to keep abreast of cold chain distribution developments. The conference will also provide information on the latest technologies in cold chain distribution, from temperature monitoring to packing.

  • Cold Chains in the Developing World: Catch-Up and Leapfrog

    Cold chain capacity in the major developing economies is inadequate by any measure. In China, 12 million tonnes of fruit and 130 million tonnes of vegetables are damaged each year at an estimated cost of $20 billion – which is perhaps unsurprising since only 5% is transported by cold chain, compared to 90% in the UK. In India, where less than 4% of the 104 million tonnes of fresh produce transported each year goes by cold chain, the value lost to wastage is $13 billion.   Read More...

  • CCA Member DUS Cargo to Join Club of Supreme Pharma Handlers

    The CEIV Pharma certification program launched by IATA is rapidly gaining speed. Following the licensing of Brussels Airport Cargo, Liege and Milan, AF-KL Cargo and Changi Airport, Dusseldorf Cargo has apparently also become a Center of Excellence for Independent Validators on Pharmaceutical Handling certification (CEIV Pharma). The successful achievement of this aim will be made official at the WCS meeting being held in Berlin.   Read More...
